the short story magazine, ____________________________ WRITING COMPETITIONS 2008 If you are intending to enter several of our open
competitions it may be worthwhile considering taking out an annual
subscription to either of our magazines. In addition to receiving four issues
of the magazine you subscribe to, you would be entitled to unlimited free
entry in all our competitions. You may begin your subscription whenever you
wish and your entitlement to free entry to the competitions lasts for the
duration of the subscription. We run several competitions every year
including 2 open poetry competitions, two open short story competitions and
the annual article competition. These competitions are in addition to those
in each issue of the magazines. An annual subscription to either Scribble or Countryside
Tales costs £12.00 (overseas £15.00) inclusive of p&p. Cheques/Postal
Orders payable to Park Publications. _________________________ ALL ENTRIES TO COMPETITIONS MUST BE
PREVIOUSLY UNPUBLISHED AND THE WRITER’S OWN WORK. ENTRIES MUST BE TYPED OR
WORD-PROCESSED ON SINGLE SIDES OF A4 PAPER (OR SIMILAR). POETRY MAY BE
HAND-WRITTEN AS LONG AS IT IS READABLE. IF YOU WISH TO BE ADVISED OF SAFE
ARRIVAL PLEASE ENCLOSE A STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED POSTCARD. ENTRY FORMS ARE
NOT REQUIRED BUT PLEASE ENCLOSE A COVER SHEET WITH YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND
TITLE OF ENTRY. AND DON’T FORGET THE USUAL SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE WITH
CORRECT POSTAGE FOR RETURN OF UNSUCCESSFUL ENTRIES OR RESULTS. WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY POST AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE. FULL RESULTS WILL APPEAR ON THIS SITE AS SOON AS THE

considered for publication. ____________________________ Debut - the new short fiction magazine to be launched soon by Park Publications - announce a short story
competition. For short stories up to 3000 words on any subject. Prizes:
£75.00. £25.00. £15.00. Two highly commended entries will be awarded a free
annual subscription to Debut. All
short-listed entries will be published in the first issue of Debut, which
will be published in February 2009. Entry
